17th Edition - Pitch

10 NZ projects and 11 international projects were selected as Doc Edge Pitch 2023 finalists. Two New Zealand projects pulled out at the last minute due to the project's internal issues.

The filmmakers attended a series of workshops to learn from experts. These workshops enabled filmmakers to finesse their stories, pitches, and trailers. Due to the record number of international pitches, the finals were divided into two sessions.

The NZ finals were held in person in Auckland on 1 June at the EMA Conference Centre and the international finals were held online.
