CLANDESTINE LOVE
The leaves that once shaded our love Have fallen to the ground Taking all of our secrets with them No care to be found.
Now that spring comes I can’t help to think of you When I see the spring leaves It’s almost as if our love has been renewed.
The times that we had The times that were bad And the times we stood In the rain And all we could do Was just laugh.
But when I see the leaves on the tree growing back slowly, I wonder if you can see me The way I see you in my dreams.
My clandestine love, Tell me, When you close your eyes What do you see?
