Did Pink Floyd Take Drugs

Pink Floyd's music is totally trippy, but believe it or not, drugs weren't everything for them. Their first singer, Syd Barrett, loved acid and it inspired his whacked-out lyrics. But too many drugs fried his brain, so he left the band. The other members did some drugs back then too, like pot and acid at wild 60's concerts. However, they cared more about writing great songs. Over time, they moved away from the druggie sound as they focused on complex tunes like "Dark Side of the Moon." So drugs helped launch Pink Floyd's spacey style, but musical skill is what really made them legends.
