Obiter Issue 3 2022 and its respective cover have taken inspiration from Maritime or Admiralty law which dictates the laws over water bodies that cannot be fixed to a particular country. The legislation does more to establish jurisdiction than govern independent laws in an effort to diminish any loopholes or grey areas.

The cover seeks to capture the aquatic life in and about the ocean to signify its maritime influence. It alludes to the theatrical charm we associate sea life too. From pirate ships to treasure chest to mysterious fish , and finding nemo! This depiction while a bit on the nose when we consider the theme hopes to offer a wink of escape into the blue!+
