At the annual Catholic High School League Hall of Fame banquet in June, two Shamrocks were recognized for their many accomplishments and inducted as members of the Hall of Fame Class of 2022.

MITCH HANCOCK ’00 has been the head wrestling coach since he succeeded longtime coach Mike Rodriguez after the 2007 season. Since taking the reins of the historic program, Coach Hancock has vaulted the Shamrock wrestling program to even greater heights. In 15 seasons, he boasts a 328-54 overall record and has won 15 CHSL, 15 District, 14 Regional, three State Runner-up finishes, and eight Division 1 State Championships. Furthermore, his wrestlers have won 58 individual state championships and earned an additional 76 All-State honors. CC teams have consistently been ranked among the top 20 teams in the nation, including #5 in 2020. Coach Hancock was named Coach of the Year by the Michigan Wrestling Association in 2010 and by the National Federation of State High School Associations in 2012.

MYLES AMINE ’15 was a two-time Individual State Champion wrestler while earning All-State and All-American honors. During his high school career, he also helped lead the Shamrocks to three Team State Titles in 2012, 2013, and 2014. He capped his senior season by winning a NHSCA Senior National Championship. After CC, Myles attended the University of Michigan where he earned five All-American finishes at the NCAA Championships, including a runner-up finish in 2022. Additionally, he won two individual Big Ten Championships in 2021 and 2022 while helping lead the Wolverines to the overall Big Ten Championship in 2022. He was recognized as the Co-Big Ten Wrestler of the 2022 Championships and twice recognized as an Academic All-American. On the international stage, Myles won Gold Medals at both the 2022 European Championships and Mediterranean Games. He also represented San Marino in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics where he won the Bronze Medal in the 86kg freestyle wrestling.
