Springbank Hill Residence by Avid Interior Design Location: Canada Interior Designer: Anna-Maria Wurz of Avid Interior Design Inc. Construction Company: Pinnacle Group Avid Interior Design Inc. project brief for this 4227sq home was to completely refurbish the property. From the foyer areas to the ensuite bathrooms no space was left untouched. The design intent was to create a home that felt harmonious, luxurious, yet inviting; this was achieved by deliberately carrying the colour scheme from room to room and showcasing consistent design details throughout. Along with the interior, Avid Interior Design Inc. furnished the home with beautiful outdoor furniture in the front and rear parts of the home. These selections had the same colour scheme as the interior selections and complement the exterior of the home perfectly. Custom silver leaf finish was applied to the tray ceiling throughout the foyer area, with an agate stone feature that was applied to the display niches. Luxury silk wallpaper was applied to all walls in the ‘den’ area and the lighting fixture was replaced giving the room a comfortable well-appointed feel. The wall panelling was in the powered room was a bespoke design and is used throughout the property, with it making an appearance in the master bedroom, bonus room and the feature wall on the staircase. This continuity in the panelling allows the design to flow throughout the home and helps integrate the design into the wider environment. There are so many design elements that Avid Interior Design Inc. loved, it’s a challenge to choose just one, but the areas that have the greatest impact are the kitchen and master bedroom ensuite. Custom millwork is present throughout the spaces and the lighting fixtures and furnishings really bring the design together.

Country Estate Cotswolds by Yvette Taylor Interiors Location: Cirencester, United Kingdom Interior Designer: Yvette Taylor Construction Company: Alex Frances, Richard Frances Yvette Taylor Interiors were enlisted for the restoration of a beautiful 230 years old, Grade II listed stone cottage located in picturesque village Barnsley in the Cotswolds. The brief was to design a cosy and comfortable weekend retreat for the family away from the pressures of life in Central London, restoring its original beauty while introducing a range of chic, eye-catching, bright, and colourful designs in a country style to reflect the building’s long history. The magical character of the owners’ private suite is created by exceptional de Gournay wallpaper: hand-painted Earlham on custom blue silk. It took five months to produce this striking piece of art. The beams were gun-sanded and restored to expose the natural beauty of the wood. The room is accented by Iranian wool carpet in a rich peach colour theme, while the headboard is upholstered in Lizzo dark aqua blue velvet matching the wallpaper and including decorative brass studs. Two antique armchairs from family private collection were restored and upholstered in fabric from Osborne & Little. Seraphina wallpaper, a dreamy design of wisteria blossoms by Colefax & Fowler, was used in the bathroom, together with period teal tiles, geometric floor covering, and a luxurious freestanding copper bath. Yvette Taylor Interiors believe that the design was so successful due to the entire selection of fabrics, wallpapers, furniture, lighting, rugs, flooring, and bathrooms fittings which complemented the period style of the house. The use of the Caron radiators also helped to accentuate the traditional look.
