David Rubin cdr was born in Mexico City and later migrated to Los Angeles, California, where he grew up influenced by a unique family legacy. His father was instrumental in the liberation of the Bergen-Belsen DP camps after WWII, and his mother, Bella, survived a Polish concentration camp. This heritage instilled in him a profound sense of responsibility and resilience. Growing up first in NY and then settling in Los Angeles at 9, he was imbued with these values, which would later guide his significant contributions to society. David pursued his passion for finance at California State University, Northridge, where he graduated in 1980. His academic and professional journey led him to become a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), providing a strong foundation for his future endeavors in structured finance, pension investment strategies, affordable housing, governmental advocacy, and philanthropy. David Rubin cdr’s professional career has been marked by his innovative approach to finance and housing. He has played a pivotal role in developing and managing over 2,200 housing units across the United States, emphasizing affordable housing solutions. His work has not only included leading development companies like Enhanced Affordable Housing but also managing EDJCO, a construction management firm, and Accelfunding, which focuses on utilizing tax strategies to enhance affordable housing financing.
