The World’s Favourite Rose as voted by WFRS members

The beloved English Rose cultivar, Gertrude Jekyll (Ausbord) was crowned the World’s Favourite Rose by the World Federation of Rose Societies at their 20th World Rose Convention, held in May 2025.

Originally launched at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show in 1986, Gertude Jekyll has long captured the hearts of rose enthusiasts around the world with its rich, old rose fragrance and striking pink rosettes, and is a must-have in most partner growers’ and retailers’ ranges.

Gertrude Jekyll will retain this special title for 3 years, until WFRS members vote again. She will then take her place in the WFRS Hall of Fame.
