Adrienne Henny was raised in Houston, Texas and has spent the last eighteen years in the Third Ward Community with her husband of twentyfive years Kerrick Henny; the two share a son, Kristopher Henny. Adrienne and her family have dedicated many hours volunteering and giving back to their community through philanthropy. Their charitable activities include the TSCC of The Links Inc, Houston Area Urban League, Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, National Pan-Hellenic Council, Inc of Houston, TexStars Foundation and St. Mary’s Catholic Church. In those years, the family came to find their passion for the restaurant industry opening Wing Quarter, Inc. and LA Burgers and Daiquiris, Inc. related to their Louisiana roots and love for Creole cuisine, music and fine arts. Through the hospitality industry, the family took interest in community continuance through employment and training while encouraging those in need of opportunity and chances. Wing Quarter Creole Kitchen was established in 2017 and serves as a true reflection of the Henny’s family heritage. It features a unique dinning experience blending the sounds, food, art, culture, and hospitality of the French Quarter without leaving the neighborhood. While sipping a daiquiri on the spacious patio, the menu takes you for a drive to many of the most popular Parishes in Louisiana enlightening your palate with a variety of comfort food. Food lovers can indulge in items such as boudin balls, Me-Maw’s Cornbread Muffins or delight in Red Beans and Rice. Of course, in true to form of the Bayou state, fully loaded gumbo and the Zydeco pasta are popular favorites. Just as the COVID-19 changed the world in 2020, the restauranters moved forward with their second restaurant LA Burgers and Daiquiris. Homemade burgers and sandwiches served in a beautiful, spacious venue created for events, with great food, great people, and good times. The eatery is also located in the Third Ward paralleling taste elements from Wing Quarter with its own bites such as boudin egg rolls or boudin cheese fries, a great Creole Fried Chicken Salad, or handmade Creole Seasoned Burger are just a few of items to choose from. Mrs. Henny holds a BS in Chemistry and MS in Physical Chemistry from Sam Houston State University. She boasts thirty years of progressive experience in the chemical industry with expertise in quality assurance, regulatory compliance and technical administration. Over that time, she was tenured with Nalco Champion, an Ecolab Company, most recently serving as their Material Control Superintendent. The business activist is now managing operations of the family business full time, a current member of the Texas Spring Cypress Chapter of the Links, Inc, Houston FIRST, Texas Restaurant Association and the Black Chamber of Commerce.
