THE BEST OF EATING AND SLEEPING ON THE GREEK ISLANDS Latifah Al-Hazza
Greece has become a popular destination for many tourists over the years. Well known islands such as Mykonos and Santorini take the spotlight when it comes to islands to choose from. In 2019, Mykonos and Santorini saw a combined tourism rise of over 20%. Although the two islands are gorgeous and worth visiting, don’t skimp on a few other, lesser-known, islands that have a lot of charm as well. Sleeping accommodations and foodie finds are key in making a memorable vacation. Below are the best of eating establishments and sleeping accommodations on Mykonos, Santorini and two other islands that you shouldn’t miss.

Sleep Here: Myconian Utopia Relais & Châteaux
Eat Here: Pavilion at Myconian Utopia
Just minutes away from the longest beach on Mykonos, Myconian Utopia is one of the most exclusive getaway resorts on the island. You will feel like you walked into an interior design magazine at Myconian Utopia. Handcut stones, custom furnishings and sustainable design materials blend together in harmony to create the ultimate playful, bohemian setting. In addition, the hotel not only has a magnificent infinity pool, but guests also have the option of booking a room with a private infinity pool.
It’s very rare that I recommend a restaurant inside of a hotel, but it’s hard not to recommend Pavilion’s exceptional menu, staff and ambiance. With spectacular sea views, a rich menu and an extensive wine list, guests can’t go wrong here. A few recommended dishes: Grilled octopus with warm potato cream, pickled red peppers and rocket pesto; Spinach tagliatelle with shrimps and fresh tomato sauce with lemon verbena; Seabass fillet with wild greens, portobello mushroom cream and homemade herb gnocchi.
