ONTARIO JUNIOR LIMOUSIN ASSOCIATION The vision of the Ontario Junior Association is to encourage youth involved in the Limousin Breed to participate in events, develop skill sets and learn leadership and group working skills.

Ontario Junior Limousin 2013/14 Executive -

Membership is open to any youth under 21 years of age in the province of Ontario. Membership can be gained by filling out a membership form (found in Jr section of the OLA website) and paying the annual fee of $20 which is due before October 1st to participate in events for that year.

(Limousin Cattle in Canada) 22/75 daughter of Edmond and bred to 1973 - George McLean elected 1st Pres. Email. Consigned by Mr. & Mrs. Earl Mcof the newly formed ON Limousin Assoc. Fadden, Elgin, she sold for $5400 to Horace 1977 – 200 people attended OLA Field Day & Mark Cressman of Hor-Mar Farms, at Hugh Filson & family’s farm near Denfield. Waterloo. (Limousin Leader, Sept 1977) Tim Dunlop of Nordic and Peter Richards of 1978 - Limousin heifer to the top of the CN Pineridge demonstrated fitting Limousin Tower in Toronto, Ms Glenkair GKF 12J was cattle. Jim Thomson of Plattsville judged the the guest of honour at a breakfast in the CN steer classes. (Limousin Leader, Sept 1977) Tower for the Cdn Limousin Association’s 1977 – Caledon Cattle Co. 1979 – RAWF – 11 mature cows were exhibited in the Limousin show. 1982- Jan 1 – The board of directors is pleased to announce that R. Keith Campbell has been appointed as the OLA’s first full-time Secretary Fieldman.

1982 – At the 1982 Royal Agricultural Winter Fair all three carcass classes were won by Limousin and 20 of the top 25 carcasses were Limousin sired. Also the Grand Champion Steer in the Queen’s Guineas Class and the Champion Pen of Five Steers were Limousin Crosses. This is solid evidence to support the belief LimWalt stothers & Jim roﬀey - Albertview Farms ousin Breeders have in their purebred and crossbreeding programs. 2013 rAWF

1987 – OLA Field Days were hosted by Smart Limousin & Knolland Limousin. 12 Limousin sales listed in the coming events for this year. Shirley Steed of Creemore was crowned the Ontario Limousin Queen 1989 – This year’s Royal sale grossed $71,800 with an average of $2564. High selling bred female, Hilltop’s Delight, consigned by Montgomery Limousin, St. Thomas, was bred to Towering Inferno and sold to WynDee Limousin, Jeﬀ robbins, casey Fanta (Judge), clare robbins Brian & Julie Murray of Sunderland for $4800. 2013 rAWF

His dam is rich in her pedigree, sired by TMF Landmark and out of EXLR Luvly 4109J whose sire is EXLR Benchmark and dam is EXLR 084F. 3A is a very soggy calf, and has out-performed many of his elder counter parts.
