187 Liberty & Union Bowie Knife 6” clip point blade. Marked on the ricasso W.C. Wragg Sheaf Island Works Sheffield. Stag handle, die-struck German silver mounts with Liberty & Union on the guard on both sides. German silver pommel mount with eagle and shield, wreath and stars. Blade has been lightly cleaned with some very minute staining. German silver mounts have been lightly cleaned. Overall it is an excellent knife, no scabbard. $1,500 - $2,000
188 German Bowie Knife 12.375” blade with 6.5” false edge. The left side of the blade is marked A. Rolsen at the ricasso, and is marked Otto on the other side. With “S”-shaped quillon and stag antler handle. With leather sheath sewn up the middle with steel throat and tip. Overall length 17.375”. The blade has a silver patina with some areas of staining. The sheath is in good condition. $1,000 - $1,500
189 Early American Drop Point Bowie Knife 11.5” drop point blade. The flat top of the blade is 0.375” thick at the ricasso. The knife features an upturned steel quillon and a coffin-shaped handle. The handle has a silver plaque with two rivets, with a hand-forged steel octagon at the pommel, held with a single rivet. Overall length 16.375”. The blade has a pewter patina with some areas of light staining, mostly on the flat top. The handle is in excellent condition. $2,000 - $3,000
190 Kingman & Hassam Bowie Knife Ca. 1856-1860. 9.625” blade marked Kingman & Hassam. With steel quillon, German silver ferrule and stag handle. Overall length 14.875”. The blade has a mottled brown and grey patina, with a few dings to the edge. The pommel is missing the nut to the tip. $2,500 - $3,500
191 American Bowie Knife 11” clip point blade. With German silver quillon, two-piece ferrule, escutcheon plate and twopiece pommel. The two-piece walnut handle is held together with six German silver rivets. Overall length 17”. The blade has a rich brown patina with moderate oxidization throughout. $1,000 - $1,500
192 Massive American Bowie Knife 12.75” clip point blade with steel “S”-shaped quillon. The checkered two-piece wood handle has three hand-forged escutcheons, two brass and one steel. The handle also has several handengraved brass and German silver tacks at the guard and pommel. The tang does not extend to the end of the handle. Overall length 18”. The blade has a mottled grey and silver patina. There are some slight stains to the quillon. The handle shows some wear, but is in good overall condition. $2,500 - $4,000
