Rohit Barot

I am a social anthropologist teaching in Archaeology and Anthropology at University of Bristol. My main interest is in migration, diaspora and social transformation of Gujarati Indians who live in large numbers in England, United States and Canada. My research focuses on religion, caste, sect, social change and identity. It is my view that social anthropology has important contribution to make in our complex multicultural societies of the new millennium.
