CNH ESTABLISHES VENTURES TO ACCELERATE NEW TECHNOLOGY
Tenna Introduces Companion to Its Hardware Product Lineup — TennaCAGE
Tenna has launched the TennaCAGE, a companion to the Tenna hardware product line.
The TennaCAGE is Tenna’s latest innovation that provides an additional layer of protection to the TennaMINI, one of its many construction equipment fleet trackers.
The CAGE is a 3/16-in.-thick steel enclosure designed to give durable TennaMINI trackers an even greater level of protection and security in highly dynamic construction environments, while still giving the tracker the proper exposure to the sun and sky to charge and report as needed to function properly. It further serves as an even greater theft deterrent and increases the likelihood of stolen assets being recovered, according to the manufacturer.
Tenna prides itself on constantly innovating and finding new and improved solutions for its contractors, as well as listening to its customers about their needs. Some contractors have expressed interest in having an additional layer of protection against theft, particularly in areas of the country where cases of construction theft are higher. The TennaCAGE is a direct response to that.
As all Tenna products before it, the TennaCAGE was inspired in the field and developed in-house.
“While out in the field doing customer installs, we saw the need for heavy duty protection as we listened to our customers’ concerns about theft. We put our heads together and developed the TennaCAGE straight from those needs,” said Jim George, lead implementation mechanic at Tenna.
The TennaCAGE is the Tennaapproved design for the TennaMINI family of trackers. The CAGE was pre-tested for durability, including temperature, rust and impact tests, as well as to verify effectiveness; testing was performed to ensure cellular and GPS coverage is unimpacted with a clear view of the sky, and sunlight can get in to charge TennaMINI Solar trackers. The TennaCAGE is designed to fit TennaMINI trackers, but TennaBLE Beacons also fit inside.
This product matters to contractors because the additional layer of armor for their trackers provides better peace of mind; their devices are safe and secure, and their investment in both their equipment assets and their tracking solutions remains protected.
“The Tenna team is very excited to launch the TennaCAGE as we continue to innovate and add reliable products for construction environments to our growing hardware family,” said James House, VP of implementation at Tenna.

The event, which was held across three days in late February in SEI’s Harrisburg, Pa., location, featured LeeBoy asphalt and paving equipment. SEI Holds ‘Asphalt Paving & Maintenance Workshop’ Event

Stephenson’s Ronnie Hoffman works with a group of attendees with machine maintenance tips and tricks.
Stephenson Equipment had nearly 200 paving/asphalt customers at its Harrisburg, Pa., location across three days this past February.
Called the “Asphalt Paving & Maintenance Workshop,” the purpose of the event was to give customers hands-on knowledge, maintenance tips and tricks on LeeBoy paving equipment and Bomag rollers.
Each day, the group of 60 to 65 attendees were broken out into smaller groups that went to three different stations, one station focused on actual paving with stone-dust, another station focused on roller techniques, and the third station focused on maintenance tips on LeeBoy paving equipment for the day-to-day paving crews. Each group spent approximately an hour and a half at each station before they switched to the next one, with a break for a BBQ lunch.
Stephenson usually puts this knowledge sharing event on annually or semi-annually in the Harrisburg area for its customers — there is an event scheduled in Albany, N.Y., and Syracuse N.Y., in April of 2022.
