hen people ask me what my profession is, I say that I’m an inventor. Inventing machines and equipment to improve production and remove bottlenecks has been my focus for decades. Now, I’m pleased to debut a new piece of equipment – the Stud Driller.

The concept is simple but the payback is tremendous. Our new Stud Driller can be set up to drill units of studs of any size on-center and off-center, and predrilled studs in units can be placed/fed into wall production. By predrilling studs, jacks, trimmers, etc. in a process that allows them to be drilled almost instantly as Dimensions: needed and then installed in wall panels as needed, you can save many hours of labor drilling by hand, If you are looking for the fastest, most consistent way to measure and cut your product, thereby avoiding the risks of bone-breaking force and working in confined, cumbersome, unsafe spaces. then the Hain Measuring System (MEA) is your answer. The MEA changes from one length
t any length instantly, up to 60’, without changing the operator’s position on the line. It is also highly accurate (+/- .010) and quickly moves from one length to the next in seconds. The MEA is designed for quick and easy setup and is simple to use. Even a first time user will be productive with little or no training required. It can adapt to any saw and can be mounted to any surface so that you can integrate the MEA with your existing setup. The MEA is versatile allowing “left” or “right” handed operation and measurement in “feet and inches” or “inches” depending on your preference. The MEA is also available in a “Skid Mounted” version.

Best of all, using the Stud Driller is simple. Then the operator simply inserts a stud into the funnel-shaped 530.295.8068 | sales@thehaincompany.com opening and the stud activates the drilling cycle – ejecting a 4-inch board in 2 seconds! How does it do it? When the cycle is initiated by the board being inserted in the machine, a rapid pneumatic sequence double clamps the board at the same time the 5 hp motor drives a ¾” carbide router bit at 3600 RPM through the board. Then the cutter is retracted, the board is unclamped, and the escapement cylinder ejects the drilled board in 2 seconds, which lets the operator know the process is complete. The machine is heavy steel jig weldment for repeatability, it’s built to the highest standards, and it’s trouble-free enclosed for safety, with all covers being 10-gage 5052 aircraft aluminum that are removable for maintenance.
