Popcorn Bar With the holiday party season underway, many of us are thinking about party menus. Are you setting out a dessert table with all your favourite homemade goodies? Maybe going with a potluck this year so everyone can enjoy a big feast without one person doing all the cooking? Or maybe you’re sticking to a sweet & salty snack bar so you have a variety for your guests to snack on. This popcorn bar is the best of both sweet & salty treats – a variety of salty or sweet popcorn flavours mixed with both sweet and salty mix-ins. With no baking required, this snack bar is incredibly easy to set up!

Setting The Scene: Lumberjack plaid is a really popular pattern for parties, décor and clothing this year so I went with a rustic lumberjack look for this snack bar. The background is simply a black foam poster board with a chalkboard sign. I picked up the tablecloth from our local fabric store. No, I don’t sew but no sewing required for a rustic-looking tablecloth! For displaying the popcorns and mix-ins, I used a variety of wooden boxes, metal pails lined with paper bags, apple baskets, wooden cake stands and mason jars. Don’t forget popcorn scoops, tongs and spoons for digging out all those mix-ins. Paper lunch bags work great for guests to fill with their own popcorn creations. 22 |
