Trafic brings out the best in CPL’s new lift

Urban areas are constantly evolving and bustling with activity, making it crucial for industries to adapt to the changing demands of these environments.

Recognising a gap in the market for a small, one-person lift tailored for urban areas, CPL developed the KL21B, an innovative Single Man Lift, utilising the versatile Renault Trafic van. Here we explore how the KL21B addresses the unique challenges of urban environments, and how the Renault Trafic enhances its capabilities.

The KL21B was purposefully designed to excel in urban environments. By eliminating outriggers, which are typically used in larger lifts, the Trafic allows for efficient work in congested and narrow streets. With a constant width, the KL21B Trafic remains agile and manoeuvrable, ensuring easy navigation through tight spaces. The absence of outriggers also improves productivity, as the operator can focus solely on their tasks without the need for additional set-up time.

Despite its compact size, the KL21B boasts remarkable lifting capabilities. With a working height of 11.2 metres and a working outreach of 6.0 metres, it enables access to a wide range of areas, including hard-to-reach locations. The lift’s all-around rotating boom of 360 degrees further enhances its versatility, allowing operators to efficiently manoeuvre and position themselves precisely. This flexibility makes the KL21B an ideal choice for various industries such as rental, maintenance, construction, telecoms, and more.

The Renault Trafic, serving as the base vehicle for the KL21B, incorporates modern driver aid technologies to ensure safety during operation. These advanced features, including electronic management for challenging terrain, contribute to improved vehicle control and stability. Additionally, the Trafic offers driver assistance systems like hill start assist and blind spot warnings, further enhancing safety of both the operator and surrounding pedestrians.

With a larger payload capacity of up to 400Kg, the KL21B enables operators to carry a broader range of tools, ensuring they have everything they need at hand. This efficient utilisation of space maximises productivity and minimises the need for multiple trips or additional resources.

The Renault Trafic’s design contributes to this efficiency, allowing for seamless integration of the lift system without sacrificing cargo space or compromising the vehicle’s overall performance.

The KL21B successfully closes the gap identified by CPL in the market, providing operators with a highly manoeuvrable lift that excels in crowded urban areas.

With its impressive working height, outreach, and payload capacity, along with the advanced safety features of the Renault Trafic, the KL21B is poised to revolutionise the way industries operate in urban settings, enhancing productivity and ensuring safety for workers and pedestrians alike.
