Ruaridh Ellison I am from The Artists’ Town, Kirkcudbright (another Church to Saint Cuthbert but in Dumfries and Galloway as part of his deceased wanderings) and I have been enjoying archaeology at Durham University since 2010. Besides geophysics and biomolecular archaeology, my interests include art, bridge and music. The famous Hat-field College, in the Durham City Conservation area, gives fresh opportunities and shows the diverse Hatfield Spirit.
Linyue Huang Hello everyone. My name is Linyue Huang. You can also call me Jessica. I am studying for a PhD in Translation Studies. I am a quiet Beijing girl who loves reading, travelling, and listening to music. I am really glad to be a Frep because when I was new here, I got a lot of help from the lovely and warm-hearted Freps, and I would like to become one of them and do as much as I can to offer help.
Andrés Olivares del Campo (JBH Warden) Hi everyone! I am Andrés! I am a Spanish second year PhD in theoretical physics. I work on particle physics, specifically, trying to understand some tiny particles called neutrinos. I also love to practice sports and I am part of the Judo and Boxing clubs. This year I am also the warden of James Barber House so, if you live there, I will try my best to make sure you have a great year! Welcome to Durham!
Stefan Arridge Hi, I'm Stefan and I'm in the second year of a PhD in Astrophysics. I also play American football for the University team and occasionally do stand-up comedy at various student-run gigs around Durham. Otherwise, you may find me in one of the many fine pubs this city has to offer. If any of this interests you, or you just want to have a chat, then feel free to get in touch.
