efore he was engineering sophisticated sensors to detect microscopic pollutants in the Pacific Ocean, Ethan Edson ’10 was a kid in a Manchester garage, meticulously taking apart a lawnmower to see how the pieces fit together. That innate drive to deconstruct and solve problems has since expanded from small engines to global ecosystems. As the Co-Founder and CEO of Ocean Diagnostics, Ethan is now navigating the cutting edge of marine technology, but he’ll tell you that he first learned how to read the compass at Burr and Burton.
