Education and information
❯❯❯
The Department of Health provides information about the vitamins and minerals we need. Some people take vitamin and mineral supplement tablets rather than eating a balanced diet. This can be dangerous because some vitamins and minerals, such as vitamin A and iron, can cause health problems when taken in high doses. 6. Suggest why it is better to eat fresh fruit and vegetables as a source of vitamin C than to take tablets. 7. Design an engaging poster to educate primary school children about scurvy, rickets and anaemia. Refer to the symptoms and how each disease can be avoided.
