It was a rainy Saturday afternoon two weeks before Christmas and all through Carpinteria, people were shopping local for their holiday gifts. Two holiday markets popped up around town, offering handmade goods of all kinds, jubilant company and sparkling libations. Spirits were high and transactions were flowing as shoppers made their way from the Carpinteria Arts Center Arts Faire on Linden Avenue to the “End of Maple” Makers Market at 500 Maple St.
