Welcome When people ask what I do and I mention Creative Memories, the faces of those who know our brand always light up and they gush something like, “Oh, I love your albums!” It’s usually followed by a passionate account of what they love about them, and invariably, the conversation turns to how we produce these world-class albums that have sold millions. Therefore, I thought you might like a behind-the-scenes view of how each new bookcloth album comes to life. Our talented in-house design team carefully studies upcoming trends as they create mood boards and choose palettes for each new collection. They select several Pantone colors to complement, then our bookcloth supplier produces custom color samples for review. The lead designer of the collection is generally the lucky one who gets the final say on the color that works best. Then, our buyer orders a full run of unique, exclusive bookcloth. If there’s a foiled cover, the designer hand-draws a unique design to match the theme of the collection. Then, it’s sent to our local die shop (we fondly call the owner “Die Guy”) where they custom-create each metal design. When the bookcloth and die arrive at our St. Cloud, Minnesota, location in the USA, the Operations team—with more than 16 years’ average tenure—springs into action, stamping each front cover with the foil design and back cover with our logo, then using our proprietary techniques and equipment to manufacture and assemble each album. It’s a process filled with passion, expertise and skill from beginning to end, resulting in the Creative Memories world-class albums everyone loves, each with a lifetime guarantee. Caleb
