Cliff Long from Orlando joined the Orlando Regional REALTOR® Association in December 2017 with a clear responsibility to strengthen the organization so it could meet the needs of one of the fastest-growing regions in America. Since that time, he has led the association, the eighth-largest REALTOR® association in the country, through growth, improved financial stability, and stronger leadership in housing, advocacy, and regional concerns. Cliff has more than 20 years of experience serving as a chief executive in both nonprofit and for-profit environments. Throughout his career, he has guided organizations through periods of crisis and opportunity. His leadership has often focused on financial recovery, the development of membership subsidiaries, and capital planning that supports long-term sustainability. He currently serves as the association's CEO and oversees an operation with an annual budget of over $13 million. The organization operates with nearly 40 staff members and consultants who support more than 20,000 real estate professionals. Its work includes education, professional standards, advocacy, international partnerships, and business development that serve the real estate community across the region. When Cliff Long assumed leadership, the association had about 14,500 members. During his tenure, membership increased to more than 20,000, representing the largest period of growth in its history. During COVID-19, the association became the fastest-growing mega association in America, expanding membership by 11.5% in 2020. This progress came through stronger governance, improved board engagement, and clearly defined strategic priorities. One of the major milestones during his leadership was the purchase and relocation to a new 45,000-square-foot headquarters. Realtor Cliff Long from Orlando guided the financing, planning, and execution of the project. The facility includes tenant revenue space that helps diversify income and now serves as a central location for education and collaboration.
