FREE! SD Nights at the Santee Teen Center Activities for ages 10-17, no membership required.

SD Nights is a part of the County of San Diego Department of Parks and Recreation’s strategy to engage, equip and empower youth in San Diego, giving them tools to make better decisions, build strong character and improve their quality of life.

The Santee Teen Center is an after-school and summer break drop-in recreation program designed for pre-teens and teens in grades 5 - 12, up to age 17 during the school year. During summer break, it is for teens entering 6th-12th grades.

Annual Membership Fee (Fees subject to change)

Only $52 for Santee Residents and $67 for NonResidents. Financial aid available. Don’t have a Teen Center membership? Come check out the Teen Center for your 1st time for FREE!

Daily Activities

Daily programming consists of a variety of indoor and outdoor recreation activities. Homework assistance is available on a daily basis for those in summer school. Teens at the center are involved in the programming and are encouraged to help design and implement the daily activities.

Professional Staff

The center is staffed by City of Santee employees who are certified in first aid and CPR, have completed specialized teen-oriented training and have passed a Department of Justice background check. Our low staff-to-participant ratio offers a safe, well supervised experience and personal connection with each teen.

San Diego County Library- FREE

The Santee Teen Center has partnered with the San Diego County Library. Join in creative activities and educational presentations that will inspire lifelong learning. Santee Branch Library welcomes all youth 10-17 and will be onsite at the Santee Teen Center from 3:00-4:00pm

Skate Park Hours

Daily 10:00am-Sunset (may close due to weather conditions)

Participants are required to wear a helmet, knee pads and elbow pads.

Participants must bring skateboard, BMX bike, scooter and/or wheelchair.

*Participants under age six must be accompanied by a parent or guardian

Summer Skate/BMX/Scooter Camps 5-13 years

Camps are geared towards riders of all levels. Students will learn tricks, maneuvers, how to use all aspects of the Skate Park including safety, etiquette and maintenance. Students will be divided by age and skill level.

Week 1: 6/26-6/30

Week 2: 7/31-8/4

Days: Monday-Thursday

Time: 9:00 – 10:30am

Fee: $64/$79

Instructor: City of Santee Staff

Location: Woodglen Vista Park

Bring: BMX bike, skateboard, scooter, helmet, knee pads, elbow pads, water bottle and daily snack.
