Description: Looking for proper foot care? Look no further, a retired RN can help with clipping nails and getting participant’s feet in tip-top shape. Please bring your own towel and bring cash the day of. Call 507-444-4321 to sign up for a 30-minute session from 1-4 p.m. (One person per session)

Hand and Foot (Card Game)

Cost: $0

Program Dates/Times: Wednesdays 12:30–4 p.m.

Description: Hand and Foot is a variation of Canasta that became popular in the United States in the 1950s. The objective of the game is to get rid of all your cards. The score is tallied up at the end of each round. It is easy to learn and addictive to play. This is a drop-in program.

Pinochle (Card Game)

Cost: $0

Program Dates/Times: Wednesdays and Fridays 1–3 p.m.

Locations: West Hills Social Commons

Description: Pinochle, also called penuchle, is a trick-taking, Ace-Ten card game typically for two to four players and played with a 48-card deck. It is derived from the card game bezique. Players score points by trick-taking and also by forming combinations of cards into melds. This is a drop-in program.

Quilters

Description: This creative group meets for the purpose of creating warm, colorful quilts. Get to know each other while sharing quilting knowledge and skills. This is a drop-in program.

Mahjong (Card Game)

Cost: $0

Program Dates/Times: Wednesdays 9–11 a.m.

Description: Mahjong or mah-jongg is a strategy tile-based game developed in 19th century China and has spread throughout the world since the early 20th century. It is commonly played by four players and designed to test your memory. This is a drop-in program.

Description: Join Semcac Senior Dining for lunch every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. There are several dietary alternatives such as diabetic and low-salt options to meet participants’ needs. Want to know what is on the menu for the day please call 507-455-3195. Food is served at 11:30 a.m. Those aged 60 and older may make a donation of $4, while those younger than 60 are asked to make a donation of $7. Everyone is served a meal regardless of whether or not they can donate.

Strength Training

Cost: $0

Program Dates/Times: Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays 9–10 a.m.

Location: West Hills Social Commons Multipurpose Room

Description: Try this free Strength Training Class. The group-led program will give you a full-body workout from either a standing or a sitting position. Weights and resistance bands are available for use if you are looking for a challenge. You also stretch to increase flexibility, mobility and balance. No registration is required.

Yoga

Ages: 12+

Cost: $60 for member and $72 non-member for 12 punch card

Description: Looking for a new workout to focus on the mind and body? Yoga is a series of postures and stretches in combination with breathing techniques to help improve flexibility and relaxation. Proper alignment of the body will bring balance, strength and tranquility.

500 (Card Game)

Cost: $1 per day

Description: 500 is a fun trick-taking card game. Win by having the most points after 4 hands.

Description: Nunsense is a hilarious spoof about the misadventures of five nuns trying to manage a fundraiser. Sadly, the rest of the sisterhood died from botulism after eating vichyssoise prepared by Sister Julia Child of God. Thus, the remaining nuns – ballet-loving Sister Leo, streetwise Sister Robert Anne, befuddled

Sister Mary Amnesia, the Mother Superior Sister Regina and mistress of the novices Sister Mary Hubert – stage a talent show in order to raise the money to bury their dearly departed. With catchy songs and irreverent comedy, Nunsense is sure to keep audiences rolling with laughter.
