Policies Minimum Class Requirements Credit/Refund Policy In order to recover program costs, a minimum number of participants are required. Please register early. Classes and activities will be cancelled between two and five days prior to the activity start date if the minimum number of participants have not registered. If you register for an activity that cancels due to the lack of enrollment, staff will notify you and issue you a refund. For more about the refund and credit policy, see right.

Scholarship Program The City of Eugene Recreation Services Division offers a limited number of individual scholarships to City of Eugene residents.
Credit or refund requests must be made to the facility providing the activity. When approved, a $10 refund fee will be charged for each class withdrawal. Refund checks take up to four weeks to process. No fee will be assessed for credits left on account. A credit or refund will be issued when requested five (5) or more working days prior to the first class meeting. No credit or refund will be issued when requested four (4) or fewer working days prior to the first class meeting or once a class or activity has started, unless one of the following exceptions apply: • Someone takes your place in the class or trip. • You move out of town. • You are physically unable to participate. • Department action requires cancellation of the activity (no refund fee will be charged). Credits or refunds will be prorated for classes already attended.
Applications are accepted starting in June each year for the upcoming fiscal year (July 1-June 30) and may be submitted through December 31. Applications are available at all Recreation facilities or at www.eugeneor.gov/rec.
No credit or refund will be issued if you fail to show up for a registered activity, class or trip. No credits or refunds will be given for athletic league fees and trips that require prepayment of advanced reservation tickets or admission fees.
