Table Tennis & Basketball

Free for participants during Visitor Centre hours. Table tennis and basketball equipment available for sign-out at the Visitor Information Centre.

Drop in Hockey

Hockey players 16 years and older can drop in for hockey. NOTE : Full equipment must be worn. Sign in and pay at the Front Desk of the Pomeroy Sport Centre prior to play.

PETRONAS Free Skate

Everyone is welcome to join us on Sundays for the PETRONAS Free Skate. NOTE: Children 8 years and younger must be accompanied on the ice by guardian 16 years and older. Free Admission, helmets are recommended.

Fast Skate

This session requires moderate to excellent skating skills, ideal for confident skaters. Participants are expected to move at a fast pace with minimal stopping on the ice. Helmets are recommended. NOTE: Skate sessions do not have age restrictions and are based on skating ability. Children 8 years and younger must be accompanied on the ice by a guardian at least 16 years of age. No skate patrol is present for this session.

Slow Skate

Have a leisurely skate while socializing with others. This session is ideal for young children, beginners, or individuals who simply want to skate at a slower pace. NOTE: Children 8 years and younger must be accompanied on the ice by a guardian who is 16 years and older. Helmets are recommended.

Public Skate

Everyone is welcome to skate at this session! Have a leisurely skate while at the Pomeroy Sport Centre. This session is ideal for young children, beginners, or individuals who simply want to get out and skate!

Skate Rentals

Skate rentals are available from Hard Edge Sports, located on the first floor of the Pomeroy Sport Centre. Rentals cost $6.00 per pair. All skate rentals are for Pomeroy Sport Centre use only. For more information, contact the Hard Edge Sports directly at 250-785-1222. NOTE: Skate sessions do not have age restriction. Children 8 years and younger must be accompanied on the ice by a guardian 16 years of age or older.

Family Admission

Family is up to a maximum of two adults and four dependent children living in the same household.

Passes

Visit passes do not expire.

General Information

Showers

For health reasons, all swimmers are required to shower thoroughly before entering the pool.

Children & 7 and Younger

Must be accompanied by a parent/guardian 16+ and must remain within arms reach at all times. Ratio of children 7 years and under to adults is 3:1. All swimmers 8+ must obtain and wear a wristband.

Water Diapers

Swimmers who are not fully potty-trained must wear water pants (for example Little Swimmers, water diapers). Water diapers are available to purchase at the front desk.

Lifejackets

Complimentary to all swimmers.

Birthday Parties & Private Rentals

Ask at the front desk for availability of birthday parties and private rentals.

Waterslides

Children must be 42 inches tall to ride the slides. Due to BC Safety Authority regulations and manufacturer specifications, double riding is not permitted.

Food & Beverage

Permitted in the lobby viewing area only. No food or drink on pool deck.
