Christopher Tisler

Christopher Tisler is a superintendent overseeing drilling fluids engineers and a software technology entrepreneur based in Chico, CA. A native of Detroit, MI, he joined the US Army at 17, serving as an Infantryman in Friedberg, Germany. His experiences in the Army, where he learned resilience and physical endurance, would later prove invaluable in both the demanding oilfield environment and the fast-paced business world. Starting from an entry-level position, he became a leading expert in drilling fluid technology, a testament to his relentless drive and hard work. Christopher’s early years alternated between Detroit, where he lived with his mother, and Bakersfield, CA, with his father. In Michigan, he first began his career in the oil industry, working as a roughneck on drilling rigs. His job required him to perform strenuous physical tasks like tripping pipe, maintaining drilling equipment, and assisting with the overall drilling process. During this time, he also pursued his studies in Computer Information Systems at a local community college, setting the stage for his future achievements in the oil industry and technology. Over the last decade, Christopher has founded two software companies and developed five mobile apps focused on the oil and gas industry. His most recent venture, White Tie Fantasy, redefined the world of daily fantasy sports with a novel auction-based draft system. In late 2018, he sold the intellectual property for White Tie Fantasy to another company in the fantasy sports sector, where elements of his innovative design continue to shape the market. Christopher’s transition to Beaverton, MI, to live with his mother significantly changed his life. While there, he built lasting friendships that helped him stay grounded. At 17, he enlisted in the US Army Infantry and trained at Fort Benning, GA.
