Christel Lundberg

Christel Lundberg, artist, producer, curator, photographer active in Malmö. I am a member of the artist group Galleri Rostrum, Malmö with a studio in Malmö. I mainly work with art in relation to social and environmental sustainability with a focus on historical and contemporary social contexts, often with private aspects mixed with conceptual understanding. In my artistic activities, I often work with art as processes in collective collaborations. My expertise lies in bringing art out into the public space, often in the form of process and dialogue. I am the one who likes to work with places before the public art or architecture is to be carried out in a place and like to prepare space for this. My work is intuitive and processual, and I like to go out into a public place with loose visual hypotheses, before I have gotten to know the place, the problem, the already known facts and the unknown factors, all that as a place, a problem, a condition accommodates. One such work is Konstkiosk (www.konstkiosk.se) 2023-2025 in the interdisciplinary research project COALA, where artistic method acts as a link between research and society led by the Norwegian Geotechnical Institute (SGI) with the support of Formas, the research council for sustainable development.Gallery 69, Oslo, Fullersta gård, the wing, Huddinge and Flat1, Vienna.
