Cheryl Appe

A love of interiors and design has led Cheryl to collaborations with industry professionals and collectors to bring their art visions for home and office to life. She primarily uses oils to convey vibrant colors, textures and design on stretched canvas or linen. Cheryl occasionally uses acrylic polymers for a more timely delivery and for on-site commissions. The preparation for a painting can range from spontaneous to detailed, involving sketches in oil, gouache, watercolor, or charcoal.  Cheryl paints from her studios in Park City, UT in winter and Shelburne, VT in summer. She may also be found traveling around the world visiting galleries, museums and painting. Channeling outdoor experiences plays a large part in her art, either when painting from life outside, or from memory.  Cheryl studied studio art in NYC at the National Academy of Art and Design as well as at the Art Students League and The School of Visual Arts.
