Learner busted A LEARNER driver has had his car impounded after allegedly being caught speeding while driving without an instructor. Police pulled over the car on Tootal Road in Dingley Village last month after clocking it driving at 75 kmph in a 60 zone. Police allege the driver, a 39-year-old Springvale man, could only show them a learner’s permit and did not have an accompanying driver with him. The car was impounded at a cost of $950. Frankston man dead A FRANKSTON man died after colliding with a tree in Pearcedale last week. At around 1.20pm on 3 April, emergency services were alerted to a car which had struck a tree on Baxter-Tooradin Road. They arrived and took the 64-year-old driver to hospital, but he died from his injuries. Investigators are looking into the cause of the crash. They have asked anyone who witnessed it to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

Drone found in Chelsea A DRONE was found in Chelsea Reserve last November. Police are seeking the owner of the drone so they can return it. Anyone with information about the drone’s owner can contact Constable Emily PleiterStarvaggi at Chelsea Police on 8773 3200.

Kayak needs collecting A KAYAK has been found after being left unattended at a Mordialloc Beach. Mordialloc Police Station is holding onto the kayak (pictured below) and is trying to reunite it with its owner. Anyone who can provide proof of ownership can contact Mordialloc Police Station on 9588 2988 and quote the property reference number 202202-S-0901.
