Designed for Living One Park Circle couple desired a yard with plenty of space for activities, which led them to work with Living Designs Landscaping to bring their oasis to life.

ark Circle has been rated one of the top spots to live, based on architectural diversity, craftsmanship of the homes, plus it’s walkability, and the sense of community that comes with living in a small-town-esque area. This area has been praised for its lovingly crafted older homes, surrounding a 30-plus acre park with baseball fields, playgrounds, and a weekly farmer’s market. Full of character, Joe and Elaine Feriera’s home is no exception. They partnered with landscape architect Heyward Townsend of Living Designs Landscaping to complete the

exterior living spaces. “Joe and I started with his front yard, planning out the different layers of the plantings and determining different species that would be fairly low-maintenance,” Heyward explains. For the front yard, Heyward and the Ferieras opted for a cascading effect from the front porch down to the street. They chose Viburnum Suspensum bushes near the foundation of the house, down to medium-height ground covers surrounding the stoop, and then an Asian Jasmine ground cover in contained spaces all the way out to the brick retaining wall near
