A home built for family, elevated by detail, and designed to last for generations.
W
ith ten wide–open acres in the Lowcountry, the possibilities felt endless for its owners. Tucked inside an equestrian neighborhood in Ravenel, the land quickly became the perfect spot for their dream home. The homeowners had just one request: every detail must be centered around family. Through kismet, the homeowners were introduced to JacksonBuilt Custom Homes. When they arrived at their first meeting, they brought along a set of plans they had discovered online, something that captured the general feel they were after. “We saw the potential, but it needed to be reimagined so the spaces would flow and function properly,” says Richard Jackson of JacksonBuilt Custom Homes. bring that vision to life, the team partnered with John Romano of Drafted Architecture, who thoughtfully crafted a new design that struck the perfect balance between beauty and livability. With the plans finalized, JacksonBuilt’s in-house designer, Mary-Margaret Glass, began envisioning each space. “Our guiding principle was to blend as many materials as possible that evoke a sense of history with new construction,” Mary-Margaret explains. The result is a richly layered home, where every detail was thoughtfully considered to create warmth, character, and a timeless sense of charm.
