A Natural Beauty Working with a top Lowcountry builder and their new interior design sister company, the homeowners were able to turn their southern style cottage into a reflection of their life and passions.

fter years of flying South for the winter, these former Pennsylvania residents decided to make a permanent change and purchase a home in the new, up-and-coming, Kiawah River development, just twenty-two miles from downtown Charleston. This gorgeous home, constructed by Richard Jackson of JacksonBuilt Custom Homes offers a front row, center stage view of uninterrupted marsh lands. Going a long way for these nature lovers.

built around it, or so it seems. “We accomplished this by keeping the front curb appeal more in a coastal farmhouse style with a wraparound porch and added “joineries” with varying siding styles to make it feel as though it was added onto throughout the years,” Richard explains. While the exterior of the house is breathtaking all on its own, the interior is just as beautiful. With a vaulted ceiling and a plaster fireplace in the family room, fluted cabinetry detailing in the kitchen with white oak accents, and oversized windows in the dining area to accentuate the gorgeous Sea Island views.
