DRESS CODE

CCHS students are required to wear a school uniform. The 2023 - 24 uniform policy is as follows:

PANTS:

School uniform pants or shorts must be purchased through Lands’ End using the school number and include the approved, interlocking CC logo. Incoming 9th grade students will be allowed to wear the Lands’ End or Flynn & O’Hara uniform pants. Shorts must be to the knee.

Pants and shorts must be classic, “Docker-Chino” style, and proper fit must be maintained (not skin-tight, faded nor baggy).

SHIRTS:

School uniform shirts are available for purchase through Lands’ End All shirts must have the approved school crest logo

For girls, shirts must be an appropriate fit and may or may not be tucked in. If a shirt is not tucked in, it should fall to a few inches below the waistband. Oversized shirts and sweatshirts are not permitted

For boys, shirts must be tucked in No long-sleeved shirts may be worn under the short-sleeved uniform shirts.

Uniform shirts must be worn under any uniform-approved sweatshirts.

School uniform oxford shirts may be worn, and must be tucked in An appropriate dress tie may be worn with the oxford shirt No mass uniform is required; however, some sports teams dress up with shirt and tie on game days.

SWEATSHIRTS,SWEATERS, AND VESTS:

Uniform-approved sweatshirts, quarter-zips, sweaters and vests may be worn over a uniform shirt Shirttails must not hang below the sweatshirt bottom Sweaters and vests must be purchased from Lands’ End. All sweaters and vests must have the approved logo.

A few key reminders include:

Frayed, patched, faded or torn clothing will not be permitted

Unconventional haircuts, styles or unnatural colors are not permitted.

Boys’ hair should not touch the shirt collar. No boys' hairstyle may extend below the earlobe or on the side or eyebrows in front Boys may not wear ponytails, buns, headbands or bushy hairstyles.

Boys should be clean-shaven, no facial hair, and sideburns may be no longer than the earlobe.

Additional Dress Code Information:

Dress Down Days: Dress down days will be announced each semester and are usually posted in The Catholic Daily. HINT: Please tell your student to keep an ear open for these dates; otherwise, they may miss it. If your student purchases an Activity Pass, the cost of the card covers most Dress Down Days. Please review the Parent/Student Handbook online for acceptable Dress Down Day clothing.

PE Dress Code: Students enrolled in PE classes are expected to dress appropriately for PE classes. Students may change in locker rooms into t-shirts and athletic shorts. There is no official PE uniform.

Spirit Wear: The Athletic Boosters Spirit Store is open during the school year on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:15 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. at the cafeteria location. Merchandise is also available at some sporting and other events at the stadium and gymnasium throughout the year.

Spirit wear may also be purchased through our official school vendor. Team sports apparel is also available. Each team will provide their participants with the appropriate information.

Used Uniforms:

Used Uniforms – There are some used uniforms available at greatly discounted prices Students and/or parents are able to access the used uniforms. Prices will be listed at the sale, and payment may be made either via a QR code or through the Online Store.

The 2023 Used Uniform Sale is July 24 - August 3 from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
