Though she started as a fine art grad, Naomi Sanders’ creativity sent her accelerating toward urban design and fabrication—and, as it follows, multidisciplinary Rios Clementi Hale Studios. (She earned her master’s in landscape architecture and went on to work for Marmol Radziner and KAA Design Group.) In light of her background, it’s not surprising that a recent Hancock Park project—a 1920s architectural gem—references the geometry of painter Mark Rothko in the planting at the front entry.
