Heroes… something we might take for granted, but the truth is that we shouldn’t. You may imagine heroes just like in the movies, but the reality is that not all heroes wear capes or have superhuman strength. The truth is, heroes can be absolutely anyone, from your mailman to your neighbors. You never know! But what makes a hero a hero? Honestly, it is very simple: A hero is someone who is selfless, determined, and caring. It is also someone that wants to make the world a better place by helping or doing something good for the community.

A great example for a hero is Danielle Gletow, she has every quality a hero should have. Danielle was born into an abusive household, and she had a very complicated childhood. But when she became independent, she left her home and didn’t look back. Danielle decided to fund a safe foster home system for children all over the USA. Thanks to her, many kids have a roof under their head and a safe life away from the streets. It is also important to mention that Danielle started this project with her own savings. But today it is a million dollar nonprofit that saves kids in street conditions so that they can have a second chance in life. Gletow has mentioned multiple times that she loves spending time with the kids and that she has fostered two herself.

In conclusion, Danielle is the perfect example for a hero. Because not only does she have all the qualities of one, but she is also seen as one by the kids she’s saved. So don’t forget it: Heroes can be anyone that is selfless and intent on making this place better for all the community. So if you make an effort, you can be a hero too!
