Red Distinction Red Brangus Sale

Page 14

Welcome from the President

Dear Members of the International Red Brangus Breeders Association,

This year the IRBBA is excited to offer you a production focused sale in which to offer and promote our top Red Brangus genetics. The “Red Distinction” Sale is a larger scaled, non-haltered format that will be broadcast online through DV Auction to make it accessible to both U.S. and international breeders. The auctioneer will be Mr. Mark Switzer who is well known in the Texas commercial cattle industry.

The “Red Distinction” Sale and our Annual Meeting will be Saturday, April 30, 2016, and includes our “Measuring to Success” education program.

We all know of the production sales of the large programs in our area. These breeders have achieved the size and name recognition in their area to attract buyers to their ranches for an annual sale of select individuals. What about the small breeder? Programs of this size are faced with limited opportunities to market their cattle. Private treaty offerings and consignment sales are their only options. It is for these reasons that the IRBBA strives to provide opportunities for all of our members to market their Red Brangus cattle.

Every year the Board of Directors results to having to call, and convince breeders to participate in our sales. You should be the first one to call the sale organizers and have animals selected to participate in all our association sales. An IRBBA consignment sale is not just for you to profit from sales, is for you to show and promote your program! How much will it cost you to put one ad in a magazine, and have your animals videoed, and promoted to the U.S. and to the world? In a consignment sale you have members, directors, and the association promoting your cattle to the world!

The success of this new expanded sale will depend on all of us helping to promote it and inviting people to it. Please call your clients and fellow breeders. Make plans to join us, April 30th .

This sale is your sale. Be proud of our cattle and association! The success of this sale will reflect on your program.

I and the Directors, working for you, look forward to seeing all of you on April 30th.

Welcome from the Sale Chairman

Welcome to the inaugural “Red Distinction” Sale presented by the International Red Brangus Breeders Association. While the IRBBA Annual Meeting has featured an elite heifer sale the past five years, the IRBBA Board of Directors developed this expanded format with a focus on offering top cut production oriented Red Brangus cattle and genetics. The 2016 offering includes herd sire prospects, females and genetic packages that should be appealing to purebred and commercial breeders, both here and abroad.

Thank you to our consignors for taking advantage of the marketing opportunities presented by the IRBBA. We are excited to offer cattle and genetics from three states and wide range of programs. All Red Brangus breeders will find at least one or two individuals and offerings that can elevate our breeding programs to a new level. These cattle and genetic packages represent the most successful purebred lines in the Red Brangus breed.

Plans and ideas are already in development for the 2017 Edition of the “Red Distinction” Sale. When a member of the Sale Planning Committee approaches you to discuss a potential consignment, seriously consider the opportunity. Better yet, plan now to consign a top individual from your program and let us know that you will! Our breed will grow and thrive when we offer our best to new breeders and established programs looking to expand our genetic base.

For our fellow breeders across international borders, we thank you for your continued comradery and inclusion of our genetics in your programs. You will most certainly see individuals and genetic packages that can be imported into your home country and herds. We will work closely with you to facilitate the delivery of all importations.

Thank you to the buyers who will be in attendance and online. We look forward to an active and successful sale day!

Selling full possession & 1/2 embryo interest.

CX Ms Home Run 504/C3 another keeper heifer that we pulled out to offer some of our best for the IRBBA Sale. When you study this pedigree you won’t have to go far to recognize she has several Grand Champion animals in her line along with Summit Sires. Our experience has been when we cross the Home Run line with the Promise and Sureway females, we seem to always get tremendous animals. She is very long, square hipped and sound structure. She moves well and will continue to back up her strong growth EPD’s. The 314 line of genetics has proven itself all over the world with setting records in not only embryo sales, but also some of the highest selling Brangus bulls in Argentina. Here is your chance to own the outstanding genetics of Home Run, Promise, Red Chief, Sureway Easy Induna, High Stars 198 bloodline, and some of the top genetics ever produced in Red Brangus from Center Ranch.
