Student Leaders Appreciation Ceremony May 18

The college came together to honour the efforts and services that the Student Leaders of CJC had contributed during their course of

leadership. The ceremony started with the opening h1'rnn Lead Me Lord, Ied bY the Music Ministry. Father Leslie Raj, the College Chaplain, then led the opening prayer, which was followed by a Scripture reading by Claire Ann Abraham of zTr9. Jonathan Soong, the President ofthe 36th Student Council, was then invited onstage to reflect on behalf ofthe Student Leaders on their term of seruice. Subsequently, Father Raj led student representatives and teachers in the community prayers for outgoing leaders.

Mrs Christine Kong in her address thanked the Student Leaders for all their serwices rendered to the school. The Jz Sports Leaders were

highlighted for being the pioneer batch of students to take control of the planning ofthe Cross Country Event earlier in the year.

Sandanam and Mr Eugene Yeow proceeded to announce the recipients of

the certificates, beginning with Clubs and Societies, then moving on to Performing Arts and Sports and Games, and last but not least, the 36th Student Council, wh ich comprises the Student Activities Wing, the Community Involvement Wing and the CatholicActivities Wing. To wrap up the appreciation ceremony, Fr Raj closed it with a prayer and the school song was sung proudly by all.
