Visual artist Born in Mallorca, 1972 My work has its origins in the figurative pictorial tradition. Based on traditional manual practice and manufacturing, I work with large-format painting and drawing as a fundamental tool, although in my projects dialogues are generated with other languages ​​such as installation, engraving, video or any other procedure or medium that allows me to set up a story. The most recurring theme in my work revolves around memory and the way in which historical events have transcended the place where we live. Frequently, the photographic or documentary archive is the reason for starting a project. Photography serves me as an interpretative and research element to approach the works through techniques specific to traditional representation, such as large-format paintings, prints and drawings, with a great visual impact and of a figurative nature. As for the historical document, the historical document gives me the possibility to build content of a more conceptual nature through the material.
