Message from the Director
Over the past year, Carson City’s parks, trails and open space have seen unprecedented use. Outdoor recreation areas have never been more popular and provided solace for thousands of residents and visitors to the capital city. This has been an amazing time to get outside, be active, and discover new trails. The Parks, Recreation and Open Space Department has been proud to provide much needed recreation opportunities such as disc golf, snowshoeing, interpretive hikes, shooting sports, pickleball, golf, and swimming, among others, to help keep families healthy, active, and engaged in the community. As restrictions continue to lift, we look forward to expanding recreation services and providing more opportunities for you and your families to enjoy. The City will continue to upgrade and reimagine its park system to meet the needs of the community, with many more capital projects planned in the upcoming year. For more information, please visit carson.org/ parks. Looking forward to seeing you all out on the trail!
