NEXT Health Medical Group is expanding its network to Seattle, Washington, where it will provide a high-tech facility in a welcoming space. The site is located at 5601 6th Ave South occupying the 4th floor of a building in a resurgent and dynamic industrial area. NEXT wishes to create an environment where they can adapt the space’s use as needed for future growth or for the ever-evolving medical practices. In order to accomplish the client’s desire, most of the space is designed with modular walls and equipped with high-tech amenities facilities and furnished by Steelcase products. Architecturally, the space’s design is inspired by the beautiful cherry blossom which is synonymous with Seattle. The cherry blossom is a symbol of new life, new beginnings, and love in many cultures. NEXT will be a space where it will provide care, love and gives a new life for its patients. The architectural concept of the cherry blossom is manifested in the palette of colors which are pink and green, and materials such as cherry wood for furnishings. The spatial experience is defined by dynamic and flowing geometric shapes that hover and interact with the ceiling, the ground, and the interior architecture as a whole, aiding to the order of the medical programmatic elements and as wayfinding mechanism.
