Industrial group helps with Christmas Crusade Advocate staff report The Ascension Parish Industrial Group Community Awareness Emergency Response participated in the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office annual Christmas Crusade for Children last month. The group has participated
in the crusade for more than 15 years, Chairman James E. LeBlanc said in a news release. “We’re just happy to be a part of this event and happy to help our community children have a nice Christmas.� The Community Awareness Emergency Response Commit-
tee’s membership, which includes chemical and industrial companies in Ascension Parish, works closely with parish government and the Sheriff’s Office to define and prepare procedures that would be used during a chemical or industrial emergency, LeBlanc said.
