Vina Lucy Vanouck March 20, 1920 ~ January 30, 2017 Vina Lucy Vanouck of Pine Cottage, Camrose, Alberta, formally of New Norway, passed away at the age of 96 years on January 30, 2017. Vina is survived by her children Dolores (Don) Graff of Ferintosh, Fred (Donna) Vanouck of Camrose, Marilyn (Reg) Olson of Ferintosh and Louise (Fred) Huolt of Camrose; brother Les (BJ) Wiberg of Calgary; sisters–in-law Junie Petrick of Wetaskiwin, Elsie Wiberg of Kamloops, Elaine Wiberg of Camrose and Lillian Wiberg of Camrose; special friend Janice Krobutschek of Lacombe; nine grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Vina was predeceased by her parents John and Jenny Wiberg of Duhamel; husband Edward in 1992; grandson Perry in 1981; brothers Lewis, Melvin, Ralph and Leo; and sisters Jessie (Scherness) and Irene (Anderson). A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 8, 2017 from Camrose United Church. Joyce passed away after a sudden illness on January 7, 2017 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Camrose, Alberta at the age of 81. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Clifford, three brothers (Garry, Grant and Keith) and one sister (Laverne). She is survived by her five children Ailsa Thomas of Regina Beach, SK, John (Brenda) Mohan of Moose Jaw, SK, Dale (Erin) Mohan of Fox Creek, AB, Angela Mohan (Michael Silver) of Galiano Island, BC and Leanne (James) Coughlin of Camrose; and daughter-in-law Laurie Mohan of Fox Creek, AB. Joyce is also survived by her sister Patricia White of Brandon, MB; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Of note is her special friend of recent years, Mr. Jim Davenport of Camrose. Joyce was born in Sandy Lake, Manitoba on March 22, 1935, the eldest of six children born to Matthew and Anne Lilley. She and her siblings grew up in the Elphinstone, Onanale and Rivers areas of Manitoba as her father found work, before she married in 1957. Joyce practiced nursing for much of her adult career, including six years in the Canadian Armed Forces. She managed the Southside Trailer Park in Camrose for over 20 years before retiring to care for her ailing husband Cliff. She loved her home, her adopted city of Camrose, and her church. She felt safe and accepted here, declining the offers to move closer to family. Joyce was a woman of faith, testifying to God’s provisions and healings to whomever was within earshot. She had a sense of humour, and was especially able to laugh at herself. She loved shopping at thrift stores and garage sales, and her rooms were filled with brightly coloured outfits, purses, shoes and jewelry. While she will be missed by many, she has been enthusiastically welcomed into the arms of her saviour Jesus! A memorial service will be held on February 11, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at CityLights Church, Camrose, Alberta. Memorial donations may be made to CityLights Church or St. Mary’s Hospital.
