Emcee: Tamara Krinsky

Tamara Krinsky is an Emmywinning writer, actress and broadcast host. She is lead host for Marvel LIVE!, anchoring their Red Carpet Premiere broadcasts, and is co-host of Discovery/Science

Channel’s Emmy-nominated scitech series Tomorrow’s World Today.

Favorite acting adventures include Star Trek: First Contact, Disney Jr’s Sofia the First, and projects with LA’s Antaeus Theater Company. Her voice can be heard playing multiple characters on the hit futurism podcast Flash Forward and hosting Marvel’s Beyond the Scenes podcast. Tamara is co-founder of Scirens, “Screen Sirens for Science,” a creative team dedicated to work at the intersection of science and entertainment. As a writer, she has scripted hundreds of live events, and won a Primetime Emmy Award for Emma Approved, a multi-platform adaptation of Jane Austen’s Emma.

Voice Over Artist: Joyce Kurtz

Joyce Kurtz has worked on hundreds of television and radio commercials, cartoons, and video games. She’s known for being the voice of MTV and Princess Leia in Star Wars Video Games

In the late 1980’s she formed “Joyce’s Voices,” a loop group and has coordinated the group ADR on hundreds of TV shows such as: The Wonder Years, Party of 5, Six Feet Under, Deadwood, House, Dexter, True Blood, The Vampire Diaries, The Originals, Career and Opportunities in Murder and Mayhem, Narcos, and Grey’s Anatomy. Joyce and her daughter, Lily, would like to express their extreme gratitude to the SOC for all they do for The Vision Center Children’s Hospital Coincidentally, Lily is a patient of Dr. Borchert’s and a part of his ONH study at Children’s Hospital.

Manolo Rojas, SOC

Manolo Rojas, SOC was born in Antofagasta, Chile. He has been carrying a camera on his shoulder since age 10 and by 19 he had shot his first 35mm commercial as a Steadicam Operator. Manolo attended film school at IACC Institute of Arts and Science

Communications in Santiago, Chile. During that time he traveled to Philadelphia, taking his first Steadicam workshop with Garrett Brown. Manolo continued to work in commercials and movies in Chile and moved in 2009 to the US to continue his growth as an operator. As an operator, Manolo has been honored to work on amazing projects such as Twin Peaks, The Menu, Shotgun Wedding, and Snowfall, for which in 2021 he received the SOC’s Camera Operator of the Year – Television, with “B” Camera Operator, Pauline Edwards.

Pauline Edwards, SOC

Pauline Edwards, SOC is from NYC and graduated with a degree in Film Technology from Valencia C.C., Orlando, Florida. After moving to Los Angeles, she worked as a loader and 2nd AC, getting her opportunity to become a camera operator in unscripted television in 2009. She operated on America’s Next Top Model, Bring It, Rhythm + Flow, Encore, and RuPaul’s Drag Race. Pauline transitioned to narrative in 2018, working with Tommy Maddox Upshaw, ASC on television series such as Huge In France, On My Block, Snowfall, and the feature film White Men Can’t Jump. She’s currently filming the final season of Snowfall. Pauline has been a member of Local 600 since 2004 and active member of the SOC since 2019.
