ROYAL TREATMENT Poly Royal, now called Open House, was a special annual event at Cal Poly. It was an opportunity for departments across the campus to demonstrate the Learn by Doing aspect for which the university had become known. Landscape architecture students built temporary designs by the dean’s office or on Dexter Lawn to showcase their discipline.
