Dr. Alen Cohen is a board-certified nose and sinus surgeon and assistant clinical professor of surgery at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. He is also the founder and director of the Southern California Sinus Institute (SCSI), which has become one of the premier sinus centers in Los Angeles and Southern California. Thousands of patients have benefitted from Dr. Cohen’s lifechanging procedures, which include the medical and surgical treatment of patients with all nasal and sinus disorders, including nasal obstruction, deviated septum, environmental allergies, acute and chronic sinusitis, nasal polyps, and sinus headaches. Dr. Terino is not only world renowned for his accomplishments as a plastic surgery practitioner, but also as an innovator in the specialized new techniques of threedimensional facial contouring. He is a pioneer of the latest upper and midface vertical lifting and suspension technology, which he calls “Somme Lift.” He also designed and patented natural-looking facial implants, which provide solutions for flat cheeks, small jaw lines, and weak facial contours. He has authored two textbooks and chapters to 22 others and has presented over 500 lectures worldwide. A graduate of Amherst College and Yale University, Dr. Terino brings a unique combination of art and surgical technique to his practice. Dr. Schechter focuses on preventative dentistry, which he believes can save you from a considerable amount of costly oral health issues over time. He and his staff use the most current technology, equipment, and techniques to make your treatment as healthy, safe, and stress-free as possible. These include digital x-rays to greatly reduce radiation exposure, dental lasers, and digital photography. Dr. Schechter also specializes in using non-toxic, tooth-colored fillings instead of mercury-containing, silveramalgam fillings. Dr. Schechter received his Bachelor of Science degree in biology from the University of California at Berkeley and then his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University Of Southern California School of Dentistry in 1983.
