Justin Marshall’s daughter, Jaila, plays competitive basketball, but they found there were no training facilities in the local area where she could practice and play. So Marshall was inspired to open a basketball facility, and he has done so with the largest basketball gym franchise in the United States, PickUp USA. This Shreveport location will be the first PickUp USA gym in the state and will feature two full basketball courts and a fitness room with weights and cardio equipment, along with shooting machines and vertimax training devices. Headquartered in Southern California, PickUp USA has locations and franchises in many major cities and is known for its high-quality facilities. Marshall needed the right type of building to meet space and height and other regulations and was able to buildout a gym in the facility at 2535 E 70th Street in Shreveport. “I believe PickUp USA will be a great asset to the city of Shreveport,” says Marshall. “There is nothing here like it. We have so many exceptional athletes and I’m excited to offer ‘A Better Way to Play’ to those who love the game of basketball. Years from now, players will credit our franchise for helping advance their game. Nothing could be more rewarding than making that kind of impact.”

He can see how this facility will have a positive impact over the long-term. He wants to provide a safe place for the
vast number of positive youth and teenagers in our area who are looking for an outlet through the game of basketball.
