Kafe K Kafe K is a hotspot for anything related to culture, social intercourse, delicious food and amazing surroundings. Located in the middle of the culture house Skanderborg Kulturhus, this café is a gem with a view of the lake. The idyll around the house, and not least Kafe K, is hard to miss, and there are plenty of possibilities in the adjacent town park. With activities, such as a playground for little children, a volleyball court for the older ones, and a sail on the boat Dagmar on Skanderborg Lake for anyone who finds that appealing, there are many different possibilities for visitors of the café. Kafe K is easy to reach by car as well as on foot or on a bicycle. From the large intersection of the main street, there is direct access to the square Kulturhus Torvet and the entrance of the café, and there are free parking spaces almost at the door. On the main street, there are plenty of possibilities for going shopping in the many shops of the town after enjoying a delicious lunch at Kafe K.
The culture house contains much more than Kafe K, and therefore, it would be ideal to combine a visit to the café with a trip to the movie theatre of the house or a performance in the large hall. The house also holds a nice library, providing great possibilities as well for families with children visiting Kafe K. We have guests from the large surrounding area of Skanderborg, and people often visit from the Aarhus area as well as Horsens in order to enjoy the temptations, innovations and traditional Danish café dishes offered at this café. In addition to our daily function as a café in the everyday life of Skanderborg, we also hold parties of various kinds. Confirmation and baptism parties are something that we hold very often in the unpretentious setting provided by our foyer, and we have also held small weddings and round-number birthdays in our café. We can accommodate most wishes, and we put together the menus according to the needs of the guests. Having a gathering at Kafe K is usually informal and the quintessence of a party with plenty of life surrounding it, as we are located in an open culture house, where people pass through for various reasons as part of their busy lives.
