A
s the old adage goes, you should never start a business with your best friends. Except, according to Guy Magno, if your best friends are Ryan Schoepf and Taylor Feero. Together, they own and operate several St. Cloud area businesses, including creative marketing agency Switchboard, coffee shop Kinder Coffee, coffee roastery Kinder Coffee Lab, and coworking spaces Cooper Collective and The Apiary, as well as several that have since ceased operations.
The three friends have not been thwarted by the expected hurdles of working with each other. As Schoepf said, “We’ve had no shortage of opportunities to be at odds.” Instead, they continue to innovate, empower and reinvest in Central Minnesota, and they do it together.
Coming Into Focus
The son of a pastor, Guytano “Guy” Magno grew up in Central Minnesota. After graduation, he set his sights on becoming a choral conductor, moving to the metro area to
